21 Day Sugar Detox

It’s the season of giving (and I’ll have a hefty, healthy gift-guide for you all coming up soon, so stay tuned!) and I’m in the mood to GIVE as well!

This time, I’m giving a gift that you can either keep for yourself, or share with a friend or loved one. Three lucky winners will be selected at random (using random.org) to receive a copy of my eBook program The 21-Day Sugar Detox – to keep for themselves, or to pass along to a friend. If you already own the program, you are welcome to enter as anyone who already owns it is also eligible to send a prize program guide along as a gift!

If you are eager to begin The 21-Day Sugar Detox with the next group on December 1, don’t hesitate or wait! Grab your copy today and the copy you win will make a GREAT gift to pass on! Note: We will also have the New Year group will be starting on January 2, 2012.

The 21-Day Sugar Detox is a program that I created nearly two years ago to help those of you out there struggling with sugar and carb cravings and addictions. As someone who struggled for over 10 years with bouts of reactive hypoglycemia and carbohydrate addiction, I wanted to create a program that would guide people on a path of recovery.

The 21-Day Sugar Detox is a whole-food based program with outlines of what foods to eat and which to avoid. You’re also given a list of natural supplements that you can use to help you along the way, or not, whichever you prefer. There is no commitment other than to change your eating habits for three weeks.

The entire program consists of  three eBook instant-download guides: The 21-Day Sugar Detox Program Manual, Supplements Guide, and a new mini guide that includes FAQs & What to Expect when you embark on the detox program. As more updates are made and more content is added, existing program owners receive the updates for FREE! Simply join the emailing list for program-owners when you download your guides and you’ll get them when they become available.

Read more here about my journey and struggles with different diet and nutritional approaches.
Listen to my podcast interview with Jimmy Moore - where I talk a lot about why I created The 21-Day Sugar Detox.

I’d love to win this because I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your blog and other posts and would expect the book to be interesting and informative, as well. I’m not quite sure yet if I’d give this as a gift to someone I know would love it or be selfish and keep it myself.

  2. I liked the FB page! Woo!

  3. I am writing this comment during a brief window where sugar is not controlling my behavior. Please don’t tell sugar I’m doing this, but I need to get it out of my life for good. Sugar is making me crazy and I have been trying to quit on my own and can’t. The longest I’ve gone is 9 days. I liked you on FB and Twitter and liked the sugar detox page on both too!

  4. I already email subscribe and follow on facebook. I want to win because I want the Cinnamon coconut recipe you posted about yesterday! Oh and I need to get all the junk out of (not only my diet) but the family’s as well. Hubby and kids are a little tougher to convert!

  5. I like you on FB!

  6. I would like to win because I am having a hard time staying off sugar. I definitely have an addition! Hope this doesn’t count as two posts!

  7. I liked Balanced Bites on FB and subscribed via email. Winning this contest would mean freedom. I feel as if I have come as far as I can doing paleo 85% of the time on my own. Having the boost of The 21 Day Sugar Detox would give me a different outlook on how I eat. Right now, I eat paleo most of the time but I’m still a slave to sugar, and I need help! Thank you for doing this.

  8. Inette Hunter says:

I just started following you on Twitter. I already liked you on FB and receive the emails.
I want to win because I am a sugar addict and this addiction is killing me. I want to live a healthier stronger life for me and my children and hubby.

  9. I liked you on facebook and have been following you on twitter for a while. I want to win because sugar is the one thing that is holding me back in following a fully paleo diet. I want to be as healthy as I can be!

  10. I follow your blog and liked you on facebook! I would love to receive this giveaway because my husband and oldest child are sugar fiends and I’d love to help them out….

  11. I already liked Balanced Bites on Facebook and I subscribed to Balanced Bites newsletter /blog.
I want to win because I am having a hard time eliminating sugar from my diet and need all the help I can get. I want to be better informed and feed my family better.

  12. i like you on facebook. i’d really like to win this to give to my husband. while he’s been doing great eating paleo with me he still has a sugar addiction and can’t seem to stop eating chocolate. as soon as we finish a beautiful protein and veggies for dinner, his nose is in the pantry looking for a sugar fix. ugh!

  13. im subscribed to the email newsletter!

  14. Of course you do a giveaway after I purchase the program! That’s ok, I really wanted it and really want to start on December 1st so now I’m sure to get going. I would like to win and give this gift to my parents. My mom drinks so much stupid diet Pepsi. If she says she won’t do it, I’d like my friend to have it. She has Enormous stress and went less than a week without sugar. She has already expressed interest in this program. I like you on fb and I like the SD fb page as well. Thanx!

  15. I have done 1 and 2! I used to be a healthy weight but then I went back to school and it all went downhill. Suddenly eating breakfast and dinner and McDonalds’s seemed like the only option and the weight crept on. over the past few years since getting my masters I have dramatically changed my eating habits. I stopped drinking soda and sugary beverages (now only drinking water, tea and water flavored with fruit slices) and have nearly entirely sworn off processed foods! I have never felt better but I still have some weight I want to lose. I think the 21 day sugar detox is just what I need to push me over the edge. More importantly I want to help inspire others around me to live a healthier lifestyle and If I win I will give the book to my sister-in-law who just had a baby 3 months ago and also wants to get back to a healthier weight, and in the long run a healthier lifestyle. I think if people can see that they can live without sugar (and more importantly live without all of the unhealthy foods sugar hides in) they will feel better about themselves and live a longer and happier life.

  16. I would love to win because I have a very restricted paleo autoimmune diet for some serious health issues, and yet I STILL find myself sabotaging my health because I pick at sugary things all day (especially after meals, I find myself foraging for bites of chocolate, etc.) I think the more I eat it, the more I feed the addiction. I need help with this! I already like BB on Facebook and twitter, and I subscribe to the emails as well. Thanks for a great giveaway!!

  17. I would like to win this book because, in the last year, I have taken steps to get healthier (272lbs to 180lbs) and I am now working out 5-6 hours a week. My problem is that I come home after these workouts and continue to eat processed foods and sweets and excuse my language, “crap”. I have managed to stay away from soda BUT I am having the WORST time giving up much else. I have made a vision board that helps when I am at home….to an extent but I need to get eating under control and kick this habit in order to be healthy on the inside and out!

    Thank you for your consideration!

  18. Hello! I liked you on facebook. I would really like to give the sugar detox to my dad who is diabetic and can not quit eating fake sugar. Giving him the power to say no to desserts would be great for his health.

  19. Already follow both on Facebook and twitter.

I would like to win because I have a weakness for treats. They are always “Paleo Friendly” but when we make them its like crack. I want to just eat all of them and crave them. I want to have better self control.

  20. I subscribe via email.

I would like to win because sugar is my downfall. Every time I feel lost with diet/exercise choices I fall back to process foods as my comfort zone. I would really like to learn how to change my brain and figure out how to make healthier decisions organically. I need to get off the sugar drugs.

  21. Hi Diane! I just liked your FB page. (and have been following you on Twitter for a while!) I have been a semi-follower of the Paleo lifestyle since May of this year, but besides a 30-day Challenge, I have not been able to learn enough self-control and would love a kick-start to get back on the Paleo bandwagon, since I always feel better when I eat this way! Thanks :)

  22. Hi Diane,

I would like to win this because I feel ashamed with myself today. I am a nutritional therapist myself and spend a lot of time telling people to stop eating so much sugar and giving them tips on how to do this, yet I still have overwhelming urges myself which I let get the better or me. I know the dangers of carrying on like this and need some help and a kick up the bum.

Also, I have liked you on facebook and twitter and look forward to listening to more of your podcasts – really enjoy them!

    Thanks

  23. I joined your email list and liked your 21 Day Sugar Detox on Facebook. I would love to win this because I am due for a good sugar-detoxing, and it would be great to get it over with before the new year!

  24. Why? I need help. I’ve followed your blog and facebook posts for almost a year and have done pretty well with Paleo. HOWEVER, I have since found out I’m allergic to wheat, egg yolks, egg whites, corn, and dairy. It took 15 vials of blood and extensive food sensitivity tests to uncover this, but I’m down in the dumps over this. Paleo included eggs (I love them, and I love the ease of them) and now I’m thrown these major curve balls. I would love to embark on your 21 Day Sugar Detox…thanks for the consideration. I’m tired of always feeling like garbage.

  25. I would really like to win this giveaway because I need to! I have 3 boys ages 5,4, and almost 3. I am exhausted everyday. The little energy I have I force myself to use at the gym so that I can maintain the rest of the day. I keep up with my kids by totally abusing caffeine and energy drinks. My adrenals have to be screaming a silent plea! I really need to reset and recover my body so that I am my best for me and my family. I think the 21 Day Sugar Detox would be an awesome tool for that! Thanks for the consideration and generosity! Ericka

  26. I’d love to win this giveaway because my addiction to sugar is ruining my life. I have tried other methods with a temporary reprieve. I am hoping this is a more lasting soultion. Thank you.

  27. Hi! I’d love to win – sugar is my ONE downfall from a good paleo diet, and has really prevented me from really having a grip on eating well and being in control of my nutrition. Otherwise, I have felt really great on the paleo lifestyle and lost 12 pounds. I LOVE sugar and candy and am hoping to try to nip the last bad habit in the butt!

  28. I like you and the 21 Day Sugar Detox on Facebook. I’d really like to win because I plan on doing this starting Dec 1st! I’ve been doing great on my Paleo journey, but am looking to tighten things up when it comes to sugar (and dairy, for me personally). Thanks for all that you do!

  29. I’ve subscribed to your email and liked balanced bites and the sugar detox on Facebook. I’d love to win because I’ve discovered I’m addicted to sugar!

  30. I subscribe via e-mail, I liked FB pag & get your tweets too. Basically, I read every word, lol! I want to win to challenge myself further and see where sugar is still sneaking into my diet.

  31. i like and follow you on facebook and twitter!

i’d love to win because the hardest thing for me since going paleo is kicking the sugary stuff so i could use some help!

  32. I subscribed to your blog and liked you on facebook. I would love a copy of the book to help myself and friends with the sugar craziness.

  33. I have been silently following you for quite some time. After a recent trip to urgent care and basically spending the whole month of November identifying what’s wrong with my stomach (have to have my gallbladder removed!), I sensed that it’s time to re-balance my life, including taking a more balanced approach to bites….

  34. I would love to have the support of this – I have determined to be sugar-free through the holidays and have managed for 12 days now! It would be great inspiration to continue!!

  35. Ie just found you via Pinterest! I’ve been attempting the Paleo lifestyle for almost 30 days (minus my birthday and Thanksgiving). I’ve never felt better . . . but my blood pressure is still inexplicably high. (Not overweight, no family history, don’t smoke, etc.) It’s time to quit “attempting” the lifestyle and start LIVING it!

  36. I’ve been subscribed to your blog and “liked” you on FB! I’d love to win a copy of the e-book to help a plateau I’ve reached to see if there’s something holding me back from more weight loss!

  37. I already get the news letters. I would love to win because the book sounds super cool and I bet it’s informative. I’m always struggling with sugar….and have been looking for good ways and motivation to get it out of my diet! : )

  38. I’ve liked Balanced Bites on Facebook. I’m hoping you’ll have some great tips and tricks for substituting foods or derailing cravings. I’ve been paleo for about a year but could still use help with the sugar addiction.

  39. Did all 3! – I wanna win cause I need to get over this fruit sugar problem …

  40. Hi, I liked the sugar detox page on facebook seeing as I’m already subscribed to balanced bites and have already liked balance bites on facebook ages ago. I really would love this guide. I just recommended to a friend (even though i don’t have it myself). It seems I can’t go a day without having something with sugar in it whether its loads of fruit or the odd bite of something here and there and thats with me being paleo for about a year. I’m at the point I either keep trying with this paleo way of life or just give in. The guide would really help

  41. I subscribed via email to the Balanced Bites newsletter/blog updates. I cannot wait to learn more :) I want to win the book to learn more about Paleo and to further improve my health.

  42. Ive subscribed via email to the Balanced Bites newsletter/blog updates, I have been listening to the podcast and im loving it! I have cracked grain free but struggle with sugar…need help!!!

  43. I liked BB on FB. I have been Paleo for about 8 months now but have recently fallen back on emotional eating, so I would like to win this book to get myself back on track.

  44. I already liked both your facebook pages, am following you via Twitter and am signed up for your newsletter. I would love to win the 21-Day Detox as I am a busy mom, who works full-time, has two small kids and also teaches fitness classes in SF/Marin. I see myself as a role model for those taking my classes, but more importantly to my children. After being a vegan for years and testing earlier this year to major food sensitivities, I have been making strides as removing sugar, wheat, corn, processed foods from our home. This is a challenge and be equipped with tools such as this book would be fantastic. I try your recipes whenever I can and would love to participate in your 21 day detox starting later this week. Your site and FB page inspires me to keep moving forward towards transitioning my entire family to a paleo (sugar free) diet.

  45. Christina Bertges says:

I liked everything that is was possible to like and followed both accounts on twitter AND signed up w/balanced bites via email, in addition to reposting this post about the contest on my facebook page. (whew!)
The reason that I would like to win is because I am desperate to lose 120 lbs and have recently become interested in primal/paleo living. I have WICKED sugar and carb cravings that are making it extremely challenging to stick with the paleo lifestyle. I have been putting off getting married for over four years because I don’t want to be a “fat bride”, but it seems that no matter what I try (weight watchers, jenny craig, south beach, the biggest loser, LA Diet, etc.) I just seem to be getting fatter and fatter. I also have terrible digestion and skin issues. HELP!!!!!

    Cheers,

    Christina :)

  46. I’d like the 21 day sugar detox so that I can step it up a notch!

  47. erin cramer says:

I would really love the opportunity to win this book. I have struggled with sugar addiction my whole life. When I was younger it seemed cute and funny to always want to eat candy. Now as I am approaching middle age, it’s not so funny finding myself making specific stops at the store, scarfing down king size candy bars, hiding bags of candy in my house. I would like sugar not to have a complete hold over me any more.

  48. I joined twitter a few days ago and balanced bites was the first account I signed up to follow. I’d love to win this guide because it would be nice to have one place to go when I need help with sugar cravings. There is so much info on your site and the web in general, but having it in one place would be so helpful!

  49. i follow you on facebook and absolutely love all of the awesome recipes you offer. i am a holistic nutritionist and would love for all of my folks to eat paleo (not an easy task)and as sugar-free as possible (an even harder task). this would be a great tool to add to my collection to help folks get off sugar and feel better. thanks for being an inspiration! :)

  50. Just subscribed via email.

I want to win because I have been dabbling in this Paleo thing for awhile, but I need to commit fully. The 21-day detox would be a perfect way to get started.

  51. I liked your BB page on Facebook after hearing a bit about the detox from a friend. I am 43 and have struggled with crippling headaches for 30 years. After years spent seeing acupuncturists, massage therapists, doctors, chiropractors etc. with no lasting relief, I am desperate to feel better! I have only recently begun to look at my diet as a potential source of my headaches and am eager to try the 21-day detox to see if I feel better. I also want to get my husband on the diet because he works very long hours, eats unhealthy foods, and is always fatigued! Thanks for your consideration.

  52. I have already been following both your facebook pages & newsletter, and now I am following your pages on twitter! I am already planning on doing the 21 day detox, and would love to gift the guide to a friend to join me in the detox

  53. It’s time for positive change

  54. kristina foster says:

I like you all over the place ;-) I’d love to win this! I’d love to learn how to deal with cravings.

  55. I subscribed to your newsletter (under a different email) and I need this program, because all my healthy eating changes are undermined by continuing to eat sugar. I can’t get it to go away and stay away.

  56. I subscribed by email.
My son is 11 months old and I still weigh 55 lbs (or so) more than I did before I became pregnant. I had just last that amount and dread doing it again, but I know it needs to be done. Getting sugar free (and low carb, no grain) is key for me and I have a lifetime addiction to sugar. This will be the kickoff I need. Also, I’m a single mom, so winning the set will be a big help financially.

  57. I want to see your program in action…cause I think your are awesome!

  58. I subscribe, like, and follow!

Balance Bites has really given me a new refreshing insight into nutrition. Its so interesting and fun to listen in!

Sugar is a bad bad habit of my own…and I’d love so help kicking the habit to prove to myself I can do it too.

THANKS FOR BEING SO AWESOME. :)

  59. i follow balanced bites on facebook :)

i am a sugar junkie. if i wake up in the middle of the night, my body craves a piece of chocolate to soothe itself to self. when i wake up in the morning, the first thing i want to eat is chocolate. when i get stressed/sad/tired/discouraged/etc/etc/etc all i want is sweet, full-fat chocolate. however, if there isn’t any chocolate i’d totally settle for some rock candy or sour patch kids or starbursts. i’ve given up sugar before and felt WONDERFUL! but it’s so hard getting back to that place…

  60. Because you are awesome and sugar is evil!!!! Can’t wait to start. All I need is the guide and a nifty cooler. :)

  61. I am a huge fan of your blog and really enjoyed your workshop that my husband and I attended. I brought some of my clients with me and it was an eye opening experience for them! I really want to pass the 21-Day Sugar Detox along to my mom who has been struggling with type 1 diabetes and can’t seem to kick the sugar habit! Thanks for everything you do!

  62. Heather Giotis says:

The one great thing about when my husband is deployed (and believe me, the rest of it sucks to an extent the English language is helpless to express) is that he’s not here to cheer on my sugar cravings. I truly thought I had them kicked…until he got home. Now I’m starting over again and its twice as hard. I need a little focus, and a little advice and I think the 21 Day Sugar Detox could help me out a lot.

  63. I would love to win the book as I’ve just started living a healthier lifestyle and would love to start cutting sugar out of my diet.

  64. I like you on FB! I want to win because I’m a dietetics major who really wants to become 100% paleo – but my damn sugar addiction keeps sabotaging my efforts. Help me, Diane!

  65. SteadyCrush says:

I followed you on Twitter and if ANYONE needs a sugar detox, it’s me! An old coworker emailed me recently reminiscing how I “massacred herds of sugar packets” in my morning coffee … an ex called my daily cup “desert coffee”. Things don’t get better as the day progresses, either. I have an unrivaled sweet tooth. I’d love a copy of the Sugar Detox to help me to FINALLY transition to a paleo diet. I’ve read all of the books and sites and I’m sold. In spite of my buy-in, I just can’t seem to resist chocolate chip pancake dinners and adhere to a paleo diet.

  66. I liked you on Facebook and subscribe to your e-mails. I’d love to win this because I’ve been semi-paleo for a while, but still turn to sugar a couple of times a week. I think this would be the kick in the pants I need to get over my sugar hump and stop eating it.

  67. I liked you on Facebook. I want to win because I need to do this. I am 150 lbs overweight and have a serious sugar addiction. I have been living mostly Paleo for a year now, but just can’t get rid of the sugar. I feel horrible and want to be free from this.

  68. I liked you on Facebook and subscribe to email. I want to win because sugar will no longer have a hold on my life! I want to beat it once and for all, plus I would like to share this with my family so they too can enjoy the benefits of sugar-free living.

  69. Having completed steps 1, 2 and 3, I would like to win for several reasons, the most important of which is that since my recent unemployment I have been been mindful of having better health and have improved in my eating habits, but still have been unable to master the sugar detox, I’m hoping that winning would be the blessing that gets me over the hump.

  70. I really want to win to learn healthier eating and turn around my food issues before the new year/over the holidays. I don’t want the holidays to be another year of overindulgence and weight gain! :)

  71. I like you on Facebook, follow you on twitter and get your emails. I would love to win so that I can finally kick the sugar habit that I’ve fallen back on despite going “paleo” in April. I succumb to the temptations that come from being the mother of 3 small boys and turn to sugar to handle stressful days. I’d love to learn how to stop that cycle!

  72. Hi there, I just subscribed to your enewsletter. Despite reading Robb Wolf’s Paleo Diet last year I have only partially been able to commit. Trouble letting go of sugar is tough! I hope to win the sugar detox program for that extra push and knowledge to bring a sugar free lifestyle to my family.

  73. I just liked The 21-Day Sugar Detox on Facebook. I am already a fan of your Balanced Bites page on Facebook and I subscribe to you enewsletter. I have listened to all of your podcasts and really enjoy your style. You make it informative, but not difficult to understand. I have very real issues with sugar! Lately it seems my addiction has returned (have been eating Paleo for about a year) and I am having a super hard time removing it completely. I hope to win and have the program help me to move past the control sugar can have over me. Then, I want to share how I did it with family and friends. I already preach the wonders of Paleo! :)

  74. I liked you on Facebook and subscribed to your e-mails. I would love to win because I see how successful the program is for my sister-in-law. She says she has developed a sense of calm and I think my kids would love to have a mama that doesn’t yell. Also, I’m pretty sure the program would help me lose the stubborn 30 lbs. I can’t seem to lose, despite running 13 miles each week. I know I need to change my eating habits somehow, so that I can return to a healthy weight and balanced brain, again.

  75. I would like to own this information either way, but winning it would be awesome. My busband & I have been eating whole unprocessed foods for 3 months now. We get a lot of recipes from the paleo world as it fits our grain free life style best from a reipe stand point. He has had weight lost sucess to about 25#, ut I have seen no change. I know this is due to my sugar indulgence. I try to eat “healthy” sugar, but… I need to kick this to the curb. Thanks for your info.

  76. I need to finally kick the sugar cycle but need a bit of help!!

  77. Katie Bliss says:

I follow Balanced Bites on Twitter.

  78. Subscribed to your newsletter, follow you on Twitter, and liked your Facebook page. Love your info and want to learn more!

  79. Michael Crosby says:

I want to win because I just finished my first year of college and would like to get rid of the freshman 15. I already follow Balanced Bites on twitter, which is where I heard about the giveaway!
