Don’t crock pot user manuals say to NOT use frozen meat?

    • admin

Possibly. I live on the edge. I also don’t read manuals 😉

The USDA says you should let it thaw…….I think it is best to do the exact opposite of what they (the USDA) say in most cases :/

Good call on the manuals. I happen to write them, but for airplanes and locomotives. I’m good to go with frozen osso bucco; looking forward to a test drive.

Wish the one to my 2012 Ford Focus owners manual was a lil simpler and larger print for the gadget instructions. The whole page is like one big paragraph with no spaces. Very Hard to decipher/find things even with the index.

“You can cook frozen meat in a Crock-Pot® slow cooker but suggested cook time may need to be increased. To ensure meat is cooked through, use a meat thermometer. Meat should be well above 165°F to be tender.”

      you are good to go.
