Way to go, Mary — you are a great example and an inspiration! Your soup sounds yummy too! Thanks for sharing! Keep it up and please keep sharing :) !

The soup was great! People were surprised that a little soup is pretty filling. It had ground beef (I found grass-fed and did not drain the meat when I cooked it), beef broth, tomato paste, and a bunch of vegetables. Some good meat, good fat, and vegetables can be a nice filling meal. ;) Someone served salad with it, and I put good quality extra virgin olive oil on mine. My gut is probably sighing with relief. Heehee. :)

I'm looking forward to making more bone broth at home after the holidays.

Good for you for recognizing what your body is telling you! The holiday's can be hard with all the sweet treats. Paleo soup sounds really good (I love soup). Don't forget that you can start the detox before January 6th if you want. Don't feel like you have to wait until Monday! :)

I started eating paleo/primal/real whole foods in October, so roughly two and a half months ago. While visiting family for a couple weeks, my goal was to eat mostly paleo, but not make a big deal about what's offered. Tomorrow is my turn to make dinner, and it's paleo-friendly soup!

The past week or so... Oh my gosh! I knew I felt better eating paleo/primal/real whole foods, but the last week is making that abundantly clear! I can tell my digestion isn't going as well. I'm not avoiding sugar very much (looking forward to January 6, and my first 21-Day Sugar Detox!), but am doing my best to avoid gluten, soy, and seed oils. I'm grateful for the availability of kombucha and grass-fed butter at the nearby chain grocery store. Those and a few other items mean I have *some* real food (plus probiotics). :)
