“I consider myself a second-generation Balanced Bites convert. Now there are some third generation Paleo honks popping up in the Milwaukee area as I continue to promote your work. Your blog was my first introduction to Paleo, and I never looked back. I have immersed myself in the study of the Paleo/Primal lifestyle and I am convinced this is the key to optimal health.

Three years ago my total cholesterol was 210. I was a chronic cardio addict, and ate a very low-fat diet consisting of “heart-healthy” grains, lots of fruit, fat-free dairy, egg whites, and the leanest cuts of meat I could find. Fat was the enemy! I was severely addicted to sugar/carbs. Since discovering your blog and participating in your 21-Day Sugar Detox, I started eating clean forms of bacon, sausage, red meat, lots of coconut oil, the WHOLE egg, bone broth, cut back on my fruit consumption and cut out all dairy except raw milk cheese or organic kefir, and believe it or not, this Italian is grain-free. I just got my latest blood work results and my total cholesterol dropped 39 points! I am also significantly leaner than I was before. All this despite cutting way back on my cardio training (I do intervals a few times/week), and increasing the intensity and decreasing the duration of my workouts. I am convinced I am a much better trainer/health coach now that I have an understanding of what it takes to function optimally!

I also believe I am a better mother and wife. My kids are lean, healthy, little balls of muscle, and my husband has lost a ton of body fat despite working out even less than he has in years past. I can’t believe the transformation! I now spread the word to family and friends about his amazing lifestyle that has transformed my immediate family’s health. One of my clients is now completely on board with this lifestyle and is a big follower of you as well. I’m sure there will be many more to follow. There will be some fourth-generation Balanced Bites followers before we know it!
