Diane: Direct – Nutrition Challenges – Who are they for?

In today's vlog, I'm talking about nutrition challenges and how to determine if one is right for you. Nutrition challenges (like my 21-Day Sugar Detox) are insanely popular, but they certainly aren't the magic answer for everyone! In fact, there are folks that are best off avoiding nutrition challenges.

Check out the full vlog below to see if a nutrition challenge is right for YOU!

I'm covering:

Who are nutrition challenges for?

Who should avoid nutrition challenges?

When is enough enough?

Highlights from Instagram

I said no probably three times. . I already run my own business. I don't need another “job.” I don't need the money. Let other people do it. Skincare is not my “thing.” . Truth be told, I have enough on my plate with my current business and my own team, programs and projects. . But then, I got quiet. I read about the mission. I tried the products. I took my time. . My skin was so happy. I loved and felt confident using the products, knowing they were not only working well, but safer than anything out there that *does* actually work. . And then I got really real with myself about it… . Because my platform – and the reach of my influence – is too wide and too deep to *not* share this message. I have a responsibility to share the mission of safer skincare with those who follow my work. I have a responsibility to educate and inspire YOU. . Because it matters to our health, the health of our earth, and the health of the next generations. . Because there are more than 80,000 chemicals on the market today, many of which don’t have any safety data, and this is particularly true of those used in the skin care and beauty industry. . And, because the United States *has not passed* a major federal law to regulate the safety of ingredients used in personal care products since 1938. Over the past two decades, the European Union has banned more than 1,300 chemicals in the product formulas of personal care products and restricted the levels of over 250 more in such products. The United States has only partially banned 30 to date. . THIRTY. . Look, you don’t have to be into this stuff at all. I will not care one bit if you never like one of my posts about safer skincare or cosmetics. And I certainly don’t care if you never have any interest in buying any of it – at all. . Honestly, I just want to use my platform to share this message of safer skincare with anyone who cares about it and wants a better option – because it exists. . That is my why. . #whatsyourwhy #whatif #takethejob #saferskincare #beautycounter #bcsummit @beautycounter #therealreal #consultant #director

REAL LIFE: this was our kitchen right after I made breakfast today. (See it in my story) . The spiralizer still out from lunchtime yesterday. #BBspices everywhere and in different stages of product development. Pans, utensils, and ingredients I just used sitting and waiting for attention. . We keep it clean most of the time. And by we, I mean my husband since I *mostly* do the cooking and he mostly does the cleaning. But I didn't want anyone to somehow assume that not *seeing* messes means that they don't exist. . By the *same* token, I'd like to note, that not seeing even more of the good, loving, sweet moments we share in our life doesn't mean they don't happen. It's just that both the messes and some of the loveliest moments often are left off of social media… know what I mean? . I do try to share the full spectrum of my life, and I'm very open and honest about it – got questions, ask. . But also… realize that social media isn't a complete relationship between you and I, really. It's snapshots in time, and I wouldn't want anyone to falsely assume things based on those snapshots… especially if those assumptions leave you feeling less-than or assuming I'm anything other than human. . #imadedismess #dianedirect

Fear of the unknown. . This is the biggest reason why people tell me they are holding back in their lives. . But here’s the thing: you will *never* know what the future holds. The only thing that’s certain is that you have a limited amount of time here in which to live a life that you love. . And, in that time, you can only know who you are, and what you’re willing to do – today, and in the future. . You have to bet on yourself. And you also have to be ready and willing to do what it takes to live your truth. . But that’s the tricky part. . Either you haven’t taken the time to get to know yourself better. Know your strengths. Know your weaknesses. Know your desires. Know your dislikes and what makes you truly unhappy. . We spend too much time worrying about what other people like and want in life. Following some path to “happiness” or some societal norm or standardized path of “what you do in life.” . THAT IS ALL NOISE. . WHAT IF YOU GOT QUIET AND THOUGHT ONLY ABOUT WHAT *YOU* TRULY WANT? . What if living in a way that was honest and true to who you are and what you want – and what lights *you* up was the bravest thing you could possibly do? . What if you knew that it was also going to be the most rewarding? The most fulfilling? The most liberating? . The bravest thing you can do is be honest with yourself. . Your life will feel a whole lot happier if you are living your truth, day in and day out. I promise you that. . #dianedirect

  1. Hi Diane & Team,

Is the Smokey Blend no longer 21 DSD approved? I didn’t see it labeled on the website and I used to make the spice blend from the 21 DSD book/cookbook. I want to make sure I didn’t miss any change to the program.

    Thank you!
