Balanced Bites Master Class FAQsBASICS

How much time will the class take each week?

To stay on track with the course, students should allow about 3 hours each week to view the video module, complete the workbook and journal, and participate in the discussion.

You’ll be applying the information you learn in the class to your everyday life, so there may be some time spent outside of your study time here and there as well.

We run the course live over 10 weeks, but you are also welcome to self-pace as you need to. You will keep access to the materials after the live course timeframe ends.

How will the materials be presented?

The Balanced Bites Master Class is a series of 9 multi-media modules, released over the course of 10 weeks (one module is paced over two weeks due to its length).

Each week, a new video is added to your login area (along with accompanying audio and PDF downloads) that will dive deep into the history, science, and myths behind a topic.

After watching the module, you will complete a workbook that applies the lessons to your personal goals. Next, you’ll set an intention for the week and log progress in your personal journal (supplied as a printable PDF that may also be completed digitally using Adobe Acrobat).

The Balanced Bites Master Class Facebook Group will offer discussion prompts moderated by our team of certified practitioners, and you will have two chances for your questions to be answered by Diane & Liz on a live calls during the course of the Master Class.

I'm not sure if I can take the class right now, when will it be offered next?

The pacing of the course is one module delivered per week for 10 weeks (module 9 is delivered over 2 weeks as it’s a large one). If you cannot participate on-schedule, you are absolutely welcome to enroll and self-pace as you need to. Many other students will be doing this and it's not a problem at all.

You will keep access to the modules, videos, downloads, and all of the information with your membership so you can login and review the materials at any time.

While we don’t have an exact date scheduled yet, we anticipate the next enrollment will be approximately 1 year from now.

Is there anything else I need to purchase to complete the course?

If you do not own Practical Paleo 2nd edition or Eat the Yolks, you will need them to complete the required reading for the course. Note that the 2nd edition of Practical Paleo is recommended due to the updated and expanded nature of the content of the book. There is nothing else to purchase, unless you choose to have your workbooks and journal printed at an office supply store like FedEx/Kinkos, Staples, Office Max, or Office Depot (printing at home is just fine!).

What does this program certify me to do?

The Balanced Bites Master Class is purely for personal development and educational purposes. It is not an independent certification recognized at a state level to coach clients on nutrition, nor is it intended to be used in place of a medical professional to help you diagnose or treat your own illness.

DISCOUNTS OR REFUNDS

Are there any discounts or scholarships available?

The only public discount we offer at this time is for active military or their immediate family (husband/wife only). If you qualify for a military discount, please email masterclass (at) blog.balancedbites.com for more information.

There are no scholarships available at this time.

What is the refund policy?

We know you’re going to absolutely love what we’ve created for you, but, if you somehow don’t feel you’re learning something that you can apply to your own life for self-improvement, here’s what you need to do to receive a refund within the first 30 days of the course:

1. Notify us by sending an email to [email protected] with the reason that you are requesting the refund so that we can help you through the process.
2. Provide proof that you have completed Modules 1-3.
This can be done by submitting your fill-in-the-blank answers for each lesson as well as scanned copies of the workbooks (we do not need to see your personal Master Class journal pages).
3. Remove yourself from the Master Class Facebook groups
4. Unsubscribe from the Master Class email list

Once these steps have been completed, we will process your refund.

The course begins on July 17, 2019. Refund requests after August 16, 2019 will not be accepted.

Hi Jamie – he class details will be sent to everyone ahead of when enrollment begins to who signs up for the emails. While we don’t have an exact amount set for the 2018 class, you can estimate about $500 for the student class.

  2. Dear Diane,

I would like to take the practioner track of the Master Class and have it count towards my Paleo Coach training over here in Germany. For that I would need to know the number of total hours that it takes to complete the Master Class so they have a rough idea of the length of the class? In addition I would also need some kind of written confirmation that I have completed the practioner track of the Master Class once I am done. I know it’s not a certification per se, but is it possible to get something to confirm my completion of all the modules?

    Thanks so much
    Denise 🙂

Hi Denise – The total number of hours are somewhere in the 30-40 range between the class module hours and the work. Please contact holly @ blogbb.wpengine.com for some more details on that. We do send a certificate of completion when you are done! Class will open again in early 2018.
