Hey there, I'm Rebekah
Rebekah has been mom to her three children (two girls, one boy) since 2006, and is a part-time high school/ESL teacher. She holds a BA in English with a minor in Spanish, and MA in English with an emphasis in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and a California teaching credential. She is also a certified Nutrition Educator and the author of the blog Half Indian Cook through which she shares recipes and writes about food and culture in her mixed-ethnicity family.
Rebekah's interest in nutrition started when she became pregnant with her first child and wanted to provide herself and her baby with the best nutrition possible. After a few years of independent studies, she enrolled in the nutrition education course at Bauman College. It was during this time that she learned about real-food nutrition, discovered Balanced Bites (Diane Sanfilippo), and was introduced to the Paleo movement.
In 2012, she began working with Diane as a 21-Day Sugar Detox moderator; she later began working for her as a content developer in 2013.
Rebekah's passion for delicious, nutritious food has led her entire family to improved health and she hopes to support you in whatever health-related changes you wish to make.
