This easy recipe can be made ahead in a large batch (doubled or even tripled) and frozen for later use. You can make this sausage without the sweetener, but the tiny bit used here really gives these patties a great flavor.

- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 tablespoons ITALIAN Spice Blend
- 2 to 3 teaspoons pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 2 teaspoons ghee, for the pan
In a mixing bowl, combine the pork, spice blend, and maple syrup and mix with your hands until everything is evenly incorporated. Gently fold in the blueberries and form the mixture into 8 evenly sized patties.
Heat the ghee in a large skillet over medium heat. When hot, place the patties in the pan and cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and browned.
