How it Works
No meal prep—simply heat and enjoy.
Excellent quality- worth the price!
I’ve tried many different healthy delivery companies. This one beats all of them. I buy a package of 10 just to have on hand when I really don’t have time to cook for myself. It’s an empty-nesters best friend! Fantastic flavor, excellent quality ingredients. So glad I found you. Oh and PS, I sent a box of 10 to a friend who had just moved into a new house. She was thrilled! Restaurant quality food at her fingertips. Yum!
So delicious!! A must have for busy parents
All the meals were delicious and more than enough for one meal. They defrost well and keep their flavor. In the past (a year ago) when I have order the Paleo meals they did not have dairy. I probably should have check out the ingredients again. This time I received one that is made with gee, which sadly I am sensitive.
Balanced Bites Wholesome Foods
Hi Yamaris- Yes, we do include ghee in our meals marked as Paleo since they do not contain dairy protein, only the butterfat. We have many meals with only olive or coconut oil that you may like. Hopefully our new website will make this easier to determine. We may add a "contains ghee" tag to paleo meals that do soon. Thanks for your feedback! Diane :)
Love the meals!
I’ve been ordering meals for about 8 months and I have not been disappointed. I don’t want to have to think about what I’m going to eat. I always have a couple meals in my refrigerator defrosted and ready to go. They are filling, I can see the amount of calories I’m consuming, I know there are only healthy ingredients and are not filled with weird non-food substances. I have felt better and healthier in the past 8 months than when I was cooking my own food. I have less food waste and spend less at the grocery store. I can’t imagine not having my Balanced Bites Meals!
Good food, solid choices
So far I’ve enjoyed the flavors and ease of these meals. I think it’s hard to accept $20/meal for a frozen dinner, but I’m paying for the convenience of not having to worry about what’s in my food and knowing that it’s healthy and well-balanced. I’d be spending as much on a take-out meal, but this is healthier and more varied choices than a salad.
Balanced Bites Wholesome Foods
Hi Madison- Glad to hear you found the food to be flavorful and convenient - the chefs in our kitchens who prepare them take a lot of pride in executing our dishes each week. A reminder as well that the meal prices include shipping (you won’t see shipping added in your cart for meals) - and to ship cold food in 1-2 days around the country is not an inexpensive endeavor. Since it sounds like you enjoyed the food, I'd love to let you know about three ways you can save on Balanced Bites Meals: 1) You can subscribe and save. Boxes can arrive as many as 4 weeks apart and you are welcome to skip a box here and there as-needed. You would need to receive at least 2 boxes to benefit from this service, but you'd save money this way. 2) Refer a friend. You can recommend them to a friend to both save on your orders - you from a referral credit and them from a first-time customer discount code. 3) Loyalty points. As you order on your account, you earn points towards $ off future orders from our loyalty program called Bite Bucks. You don't need to do anything to enroll other than create an account and click on the tab on your screen that says "Bite Bucks. I hope you find this helpful. We have a blog post forthcoming in the next few weeks that will help all of our customers to see/understand where the costs lie with this type of service. Ultimately, it is not intended to serve as the most budget-friendly option but rather a great-tasting, highly convenient option without food waste (frozen so you don't have to stress over getting to the meals before any rushed timeline). Cheers! Diane owner, Balanced Bites
Not your mama’s sad freezer dinners!
These meals are SO good! I got the Paleo Box to have some easy to grab options for my partner and I while we try to clean up our eating, in hopes of clearing up some ongoing health issues. These meals have been a life saver on busy days and days we aren’t feeling creative in the kitchen. I don’t have any of the “freezer dinner” dread from my sad Lean Cuisine days. Nope! These are BETTER than my own home cooking. Better than most people’s home cooking. (Sorry, mom.) Even though I exclusively microwave them, the texture is great. No mush! Big flavors, satisfying textures, large portions. Totally exceeded my expectations. We will be keeping these stocked on the regular, for sure.
